Sacred Heart Shelter’s annual downtown lunch is the perfect opportunity for Seattleites to contribute to women and children in need on their lunch breaks.
Guests can tickle their taste buds with soups and bread provided by popular local restaurants and bakeries. Some of the establishments providing soup include Palomino, Matt’s in the Market, II Terrazzo Carmine, Ivar’s, and the Bellevue Club.
The shelter’s new cookbook, “40 Seasonal Soups,” will be unveiled during the lunch and available for purchase. The book is comprised of soup recipes used in restaurants across the Pacific Northwest.
Along with the meal, a ticket will give guests a chance to receive great door prizes.
For 30 years, Sacred Heart Shelter has housed families and single women with nowhere else to turn. Located in Lower Queen Anne, the shelter works to take care of clients while helping them find stable housing. Attendees can rest assured that their ticket purchase goes a long way in helping their neighbors in need.
Sacred Heart Shelter is a program of Catholic Community Services of Western Washington.
