Home Shelters and Homeless Services
Noel House Programs and Rose of Lima House are the largest providers of women-only homeless shelter services in King County, which have each been in service to homeless women for more than 15 years.
Women who are homeless almost always have personal histories that include extremely difficult challenges, such as physical disability, mental illness, loss of financial and social support networks, and chemical dependency. These traumas often have a cascading effect, making the achievement of long term stability difficult.
By concentrating on the unique needs of this vulnerable population, these programs offer the women safety, compassion, and the resources necessary to make progress towards independence.
